COM Exception only when Outlook is running

I've got 64 bit office 2010 on win7.  Running example 1, .NET 3.5, VB works fine if Outlook is not running, but if Outlook is running it gives:

Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {0006F03A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80080005.

Exection occurs on this line:   Dim outlookApplication = New Outlook.Application()

Also, if the example program is running and I try to run Outlook it says:

Another version of Outlook is currently running. Close it and try again.

Hello crandelj,

yes, this is typical for outlook, you have the same problems also with interop or someone else.
please take look in the netoffice folder: Examples\Misc\VB\GetRunningOutlookInstance
you see here an example to create a new outlook instance or get running instance if exists.
