Same application - error on Win2008 x64 - Office 2003

Apr 25, 2012 at 5:01 PM

I have the same application running on :

  1. Win 7
  2. Office 2010

And on a:

  1. Win Server 2k8
  2. Office 2003 (volume license)

The only difference is, on the server setup, i get the message that i have to call LateBindingApi.Core.Factory.Initialize :

           LateBindingApi.Core.Factory.Initialize();
           LateBindingApi.Core.Settings.EnableMessageFilter = false;

But i'm already calling it in a seperate class... (and it works when running it on my dev machine)

Any idea what could be the problem?

hello,

your application is an addin or a standalone application? sounds like the .NET security settings are stronger for a server system. (sandboxed?)
i need some days to create a 2k8 virtual machine. which .net version do you use?

its possible to use the NetOffice debug console and copy the content of the console to discussion board?
enable the debug console before you do the Initialize() call and NetOffice log some diagnostic informations here.

K. Will do this (console-part)
And my application is a standalone application (actually, it's a Windows Service) and i'm using .Net 4.0.

Thanks in advance :)

i still waiting for you debug console content. but anyway, i do some changes in the core implementation in 1.5.1 Please give it a try.

ps: the messagefilter is off by default and 1.5.1 dont need the initialize call
