Problem when Outlook is already running

Jun 1, 2011 at 6:16 PM

Hi,

when I found this project I almost didn't believe what I see - truly impressive, congrats.

I first tried the Outlook examples (C#, VS2010, Win 7 x64, Office x86).

They only work, when Outlook is not currently running.

This is, of course, a show-stopper for any real-world usage, because I do not have control over whether my end-users have Outlook running or not.

Am i missing anything?

what happens when outlook is running? nothing or you got a exception?
gimme a day please to setup a test scenario with your environment specifications and please tell me your office version.

hello again,

all my tests with outlook runs fine on different machines with various outlook versions.
maybe i've been misunterstood? you want accessing a running outlook instance?
i do an example Misc\C#\GetRunningOutlookInstance and put it on latest source code.
it's also available as VB in next release(comes this sunday)
