Stop on in eventregistration in Word2000

Hi all,

we are forced still to support Word2000. Now our project stops on starting with Word2000. All other Words 2003-2010 are running well.
On examination i found out, that the stop is while registering a word event (new document).
No problem i thought, there was an example from netoffice, this i will try. But the example also stops on registering in Word 2000. After that i must kill the example (written in C# .net 2.0) and Word2000.

If i throw the testprogram into your toolbox, the compatibility parts reports all is fine for all word versions from 2000 to 2010.

Is there a problem with Word2000 ?

My partial Test-code: (the same as your example filled with logs. The last visible log is the "Log4"):
        // start word and turn off msg boxes
        UpdateTextbox("Log1");
        Word.Application wordApplication = new Word.Application();
        UpdateTextbox("Log2");
        wordApplication.DisplayAlerts = NetOffice.WordApi.Enums.WdAlertLevel.wdAlertsNone;
        UpdateTextbox("Log3");

        /*
        we register some events. note: the event trigger was called from word,
        means an other Thread
        */
        UpdateTextbox("Log4");
        wordApplication.NewDocumentEvent +=
        new NetOffice.WordApi.Application_NewDocumentEventHandler(
word_NewDocumentEvent);
        UpdateTextbox("Log5");
        wordApplication.DocumentBeforeCloseEvent +=
        new NetOffice.WordApi.Application_DocumentBeforeCloseEventHandler(
word_DocumentBeforeCloseEvent);
....
